ABOUT BK:
After a decade of working as a designer at some of the best (and worst) advertising & design agencies in the upper Midwest, I decided to go off on my own in the summer of 2005. I'm the kind of guy who likes to have a bunch of different projects going on at once and yet still have direct collaboration with the decision makers. Being a full-time, self-employed creative professional allows me to have just that.
I'm primarily a graphic designer with experience in print, web,
and broadcast with a passion for typography and textures. Yet I enjoy
being somewhat of a communications handyman and marketing jack of
all trades: some web design here, a logo there, a billboard here,
a vehicle wrap there. I've done and continue to do a little bit
of everything, often collaborating with my copywriter wife, Nicole
Argall.
Accolades: I've done work for big clients and not-so-big clients. I've been published in books on design, typography, photography, and photoblogging, and I've had my work recognized by groups such as the AdFed (American Advertising Federation), File Magazine, AIGA (American Institude of Graphic Arts), MailChimp, Coolstop.com, National Chamber of Commerce, and a few others I've forgotten. Sure, I'm proud of all those pats on the back: Who wouldn't be? But at the end of the day, I realize that what really matters are a successful project and a happy client.
